You see, as ZAKA volunteers, our words sometimes run out…
…so we often work in silence.
But now, forming a meaningful connection with you is most important.

See - Judaism upholds respectful, prompt and complete burial.
Collecting every trace for a complete burial, down to a drop of blood - stands as ZAKA's very foundation.
Have you heard of the term 'mitzvah' - a sacred commandment or act of kindness?
Well, Chesed Shel Emes, which is Hebrew for 'True Acts of Loving-Kindness', is regarded as a pure form of mitzvah: compassion both unrepayable and unacknowledgeable by its recipient.
Chesed Shel Emes volunteers are authorized and professionally trained in forensics, crime scene preservation, and advanced identification techniques.
Working alongside Police Forensics, Home Front Command, and the National Center of Forensic Medicine, they utilize professional equipment and precise methodologies - from DNA analysis to dental verification - ensuring certainty in accordance with halacha.

Have you discovered Avraham Tal yet? He's one of Israel's favorite singer-songwriters.
Following the October 7th attack on Israel, Avraham Tal has been accompanying ZAKA volunteers through their PTSD treatment. Deeply moved by their selfless dedication and their emotional struggles after exposure to unimaginable horrors, he was inspired to write a song.
