ZAKA Honors The Memory of Meron Tragedy
As we approach Lag B’Omer, we remember the Meron disaster from three years ago. This tragedy claimed 45 lives and left an indelible mark on our hearts.
Zaka volunteers, played a central role in responding to the disaster, working with dedication and bravery in one of the most challenging scenes the country has ever faced.
This year, due to the ongoing war, the Hillula events will not take place. However, ZAKA remains dedicated to saving lives and honoring the deceased.

The morning of October 7, will be forever etched in our memories.
After treating and paying last respect to all of our precious departed souls, rescuing the last of our wounded and cleaning every site while witnessing sights of sheer evil we never even imagined possible.
We now know for sure: The times have changed, the rules are changed and our work is now more important and necessary than ever.
