ZAKA International rescue unit set out to rescue the wounded and dead from the ruins.

So far, the death toll in the heavy disaster stands at more than 3,000 people and counting.

ZAKA volunteers joined the mission to help locate the missing, extract the bodies of the dead, and provide aid to the injured.
These are dedicated volunteers with extensive experience in rescue and treatment at disaster scenes.
Zaka, as a rescue organization and an international organization recognized by the United Nations, considers it a moral duty to rescue and provide aid to other nations in disaster events..
